I was born in St. Louis, MO. My parents were from a traditional family model where the man worked and the wife was a homemaker. My father was an educator and worked hard for 30 years instructing students to become better citizens of society. My father was a big advocate of the outdoor life and our family would take frequent camping trips. Our family consisted of my mother and father, myself, and my two younger brothers. We were a close knit family and we did a lot of activities together over the years. My family moved from a quaint neighborhood out to the “foothills of the Ozark Mountains” where the nearest neighbor was two football fields away (times change with subdivisions and K-Mart). This was my father’s idea of living closer to nature which I thoroughly enjoyed. As I grew up in this “country” town, I became fascinated with sports because there was really nothing else to do but have a friendly competition of baseball or football out in the fields by the house. In Junior High, I was on the “elite” basketball team and we did very well and won one championship during my 3 years on the team. High School didn’t fair so well, I didn’t make the basketball team or the baseball team so I took up Golf instead. My father used to teach me when I was a young boy and I figured I would give it a shot, no pun intended. I was hooked and went on to become a state qualifier in high school and even was ranked as a top golfer in the nation for High School 4A Athletics.

 

In 1989, I graduated High School and went on to Southeast Missouri State University where I spent 5 of the best years of my life. I am still a “Redhawk” at heart and love to hear how the school is doing since they became a Division One School since I was there. While in College, I renewed my faith in Jesus Christ in October of 1990 and have been doing my best to serve Him ever since. I have spent time on the mission field in Russia, Guatemala, Mexico, Wyoming, and traveling my own state doing bible camps and summer camps with teens. This is where I found my calling to work with children so I became a teacher, like my father, to help shape the young minds of today. I’ve been teaching since 1994 and working with elementary aged children and continue to work with them to this day teaching in an urban environment. Children are our future and the will run our country one day so it’s our obligation to train them right in the ways of the Lord and not the world. I also work with the youth ministry in my church servicing the Junior High students and also sing with our contemporary praise and worship team. Church and family are an integral part of my life and thus the reason that I pursued the home based business opportunity to “buy” back my time from a 9-5 job to stay home with my family and have time to do more ministerial opportunities.

I started my search in 1998 for the right opportunity and found a health and wellness program that seemed to fit what I was looking for. I went to meetings where they promised me a “new car” if I just brought on “X” amount of people. Well, that particular company is no longer around so I went with a company that has been around for 40+ years. The stability seemed to be there for me. Well, from 1999-2004, I spent around $10,000.00 with this program and made about $1000.00 so I didn’t find the American Dream, only the American Nightmare. My 6 credit cards were maxed out trying to find the program that would help me get out of debt. I tried one other program in 2004-2005 that was another Health and Wellness program and spent $800.00 to get “4” legs involved and I made back in that program close to $900.00 so I made $100.00 in the course of a year which really doesn’t constitute success in being home with the family. I was finally beginning to believe I was another “body bag” in the home based business industry. I was one of the 98% who were not being successful.

 

In January of 2004, I came across a program that a colleague of mine introduced to me. I figured at that point, I was finished with the home based business industry and was surrendering myself to the School’s Teaching Job to pay off my credit I’ve accumulated over the years (teaching salaries are terrible so I’d have to teach until I was 188). I listened to my colleague explain this program and it sounded great in explanation and theory, but I remember all the hype, smoke, and mirrors of programs of the past. I told him no thanks at the time and he left me alone for a while. I looked at an email he had sent me and then I looked at the website and talked with Joseph Parton, the man who actually founded the program. After all of that, I figured, “What do I have to lose”, I’ve already lost so much, I figured another “chunk of money” would not mean anything to a man who had HUGE credit card debt already. I jumped in and bought the program and received it. I followed the instructions that were taught to me, but for some reason, life got in the way and I put it away for about six months. It wasn’t until June of 2004 that I realized I needed to raise money for a child my wife and I adopted. We didn’t realize we had to pay so much for his court costs and care giver fees in August of 2004. I realized I needed to manifest the money quickly so I pulled out this program I put on the shelf for six months, wiped off the dust, and began to work it again. I began on June 26th, 2004, which was a Saturday afternoon. I began reviewing everything and then put the system into action. By August 3rd, I had made $10,000.00 with the program. In my entire life, I have never made $3,000.00 in a month but I had the money I needed to pay for the adoption fees in August. The remaining balance of my adoption is now paid off.

Since finding this program, I’ve applied it to a few other endeavors I’ve chosen to pursue. In March of 2006, I began a new endeavor and at the end of the month, I was the #10 Enroller out of 24K distributors IN MY FIRST FULL MONTH!!!! I could never enroll 2 or 3 people over MONTHS of putting the “rubber to the road”. With this system, I enrolled enough to be the #10 enroller in this company, and did it again in April. This system has allowed me to do this in other company’s, too. I’ve been sought out by other people who have offered to pay my way into new endeavors because my web presence has been made known to other leaders and even founders and presidents of company’s who have sought my services. I have the ability to say “NO” to offers if I do not agree with the company’s philosophy or if I just do not feel comfortable promoting their product.

After a serious car accident suffered on July 4, 2006, I’ve really learned what priorities are in business and in life. I remember walking away from the vehicle and falling on my knees and reaching towards the heaven’s saying “Ok, Lord, you have my attention, what is you want from me”? I had all members of my family in my vehicle and we should have easily “not been here” but were spared by the Grace of God so my work with my Church, my family, and my business have a whole new meaning. I say that to not let life get in the way or to take it for granted as each new day presents a new chapter in your life, so what are you going to do with it. I choose to serve my Lord and be with my family and grow my businesses. With my new outlook on life, I am learning to build even more relationships with people and help them as best as I can. By all that I’ve learned through my marketing journey (both failures and successes), I’ve realized that people are who you invest in, then success will come. Being in the 98% of failing marketers was because I didn’t invest in people, but now I’ve been so blessed to finally become a successful marketer and be in the top 2% of all marketers who are achieving success. It has afforded my family the ability to do a lot of things I’ve never would have been able to do such as take trips with all FOUR of our children to places like Cancun, Las Vegas, Florida, Branson, etc. We thoroughly enjoy culturing our children and have them learn about various traditions. Remember to keep your faith in the Lord first, your family second, and then your business third. Keeping your priorities straight is the most important thing you can do for yourself.
